Well, once again the government are debating burning of the flag. You see, some in this country see the flag as a holy icon, something worthy of such deification, and allegiance pledging (under God, of course). And as such, they are saying “you can’t burn the Flag. If you let people do that, they won’t respect It, and people worldwide will hate us.” Of course, flag burners already don’t respect it, and people already hate us, but that’s beyond the point… Oh well, at least you don’t have to spend time thinking of a way to protest.
But, that’s not all of the news. They’re also debating allowing race to be considered when deciding if someone’s a terrorist. Hopefully I didn’t disturb the neighbours, yelling at the radio.
In light of these events, I’m open for country-shopping suggestions.
